7-Eleven has selected Big Brothers Big Sisters as one of their select charities of choice for their annual in-stores donation Canister Campaign for a third consecutive year. 7-Eleven began the campaign on May 18th and will go through the month of September. For the past two years, 7-Eleven has contributed a substantial amount of money to the network in this span and the funds coming in are reallocated back to more than 100 local Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies.
7-Eleven’s in-store canister fundraising program is a cornerstone of their community outreach programs. Through this program, 7-Eleven serves community needs by raising awareness and funds for the selected charities. The canisters are displayed on store counters and provide an easy, convenient way for their guests to donate their spare change and support to Big Brothers Big Sisters’ vision that all children achieve success in life. Solomon Wactor (Director of Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties) visited 7-Eleven in Millville and spoke with Ashish (Store Manager) regarding the importance of the Campaign. Ashish was very receptive and will create awareness of the campaign to his customers.
