COVID-19 Response

Our Role

Big Brothers Big Sisters plays a vital role in building healthy communities through positive youth development. The personal connection between each  Big and Little is very unique and more important now than ever before in the history of our agency. We want to make sure the youth in our programs are not feeling socially isolated, staying focused on academics, and having their basic needs met.

We recognize this is a difficult time for everyone. We know our Littles are feeling the brunt of this pandemic. Our Littles and their families are counting on us to continue our one-to-one mentoring services and support especially during this time. The work we do for our Littles alongside our Bigs is a top priority in these unprecedented times.

You can help in a variety of ways:

•  Become a Big

•  Donate to our Program

Match Updates

With the New Jersey ‘Stay at Home’ order, we are proud to report we did not waste any time making the necessary adjustments to keep our matches connected. We now offer virtual match meetings to our Bigs and Littles. Our parents and guardians are very grateful that our agency continues to be there for their children during this time.

As we continue to support the ‘Safer at Home’ order we want you to know our program services continue to be open, active, and an essential service to the youth in our community.

As we work to continue serving more youth in our community, we have recognized that we will need more mentors. We are accepting online applications from potential volunteer Bigs and Littles. We are poised to make virtual match introductions and support the relationships virtually until the  ‘Stay at Home’ order is lifted.
