For the 4th consecutive year, Big Brothers Big Sisters will be a recipient of the Run for Aaron 5K and 1Mile Walk. In 2013, the Run for Aaron donated $8,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties with a collective total of $21,900 since 2011. This year, it will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 9:00 AM. The run will begin at St. Padre Pio Parish Rosary Hall located at 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland, NJ. It is a fun-filled day that is open to all ages and abilities.
For the past eight years, the Run for Aaron has been a benefit to local high school students as they begin their college career. The Aaron Ploch Memorial Swimming and Soccer Scholarship is given with the purpose of honoring Aaron’s love of sports and his devotion to his family and friends. Aaron was a happy, kind and loving boy. He was a friend, a cherished brother and a loving son. He always smiled and taught those who he came in contact with how to be a good person. Through the Aaron Ploch Memorial Swimming and Soccer Scholarship, his legacy is carried on by helping his peers attend college and by supporting various childhood charities. This year, half of the proceeds of this event will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties. Please join the Run for Aaron 5K and 1Mile Walk in honor of Aaron Ploch as well as in support of local student athletes and the children served by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties.
