Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties (BBBS) is excited to welcome Eliud Rivera to the organization as a Program Manager in 2019. Eliud will work on the Mentor2.0 initiative. His efforts will help a program designed for mentor and mentee matches to get to know each other through an innovative combination of weekly messages via a secure web-based platform and monthly group events providing high school students the ability to develop a post-secondary career plan.

Eliud graduated from Vineland High School before attending Cumberland County College, where he studied Communications, before attending Rowan University. He graduated from Rowan in May of 2019 summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations, focusing on strategic communication and copywriting.

He has over three years of experience working in advertising as well as with non-profit organizations, specifically youth serving programs and agencies in Vineland. Eliud served as a Big Brother from 2010 through 2012 and has first-hand experience in the results mentoring can provide.

“This community has served me my entire life and I am ready to help give back. I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to work with an organization that prides itself on building strong relationships for the youth right here at home. Through quality-driven matches, this community will continue to grow and ignite potential for those that live within it,” said Eliud.

“I am thrilled to have Eliud join our team,” said BBBS President and CEO Donna Bennett.  “He is the perfect addition to the Mentor2.0 initiative due to his compassion and willingness to put others first. He is eager to begin helping high school students learn the important qualities it takes to achieve success.

Eliud is excited to work at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties and being a defender of potential to the youth in Cumberland and Salem counties.
