Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties (BBBS) is thrilled to welcome Lauren Celona as the organization’s new Enrollment & Matching Specialist. In her new role, Lauren will assist interested youth, parents/guardians, and volunteers in initiating the enrollment process. She will also assess the needs, interest, and characteristics of youth and volunteers for eligibility and suitability for various programs to help make the most complementary matches.
Lauren, a Hammonton, New Jersey native, earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University in 2016/2017, respectively. While at Rutgers, Lauren found her passion for social work through interning and volunteering in pediatric behavioral health and a school-based youth services program.
“Helping others through leadership, teamwork, and compassion is something I pride myself upon,” said Lauren Celona. “Throughout college, I was able to discover my passion for this type of work and turn that passion into a career over the last four years. I am thrilled and honored to join the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties team and make a positive impact on the lives in our community.”
“We are so pleased to welcome Lauren to our team,” said BBBS President and CEO Donna Bennett. “Her passion for helping others and experience in social work will be a tremendous addition for not only our team, but for the youth and community as a whole. We look forward to working with Lauren and value her commitment in helping our youth reach their untapped potential.”
