Little Sister Kyra and Big Sister Andrea were matched in the High School Mentoring program. Andrea graduated for high school, went to college and decided she wanted to become a Big Sister again-to the same Little! The two were re-matched August of 2012 and they both are enjoying the experience. They took up right where they left off!
Big Sister Grace and Little Sister Briana were matched April of 2012, but they hit it off from the very beginning. Briana is a 13 year old teen who enjoys learning and doing all types of activities and Grace is a 71 year old retired school teacher with a very active life. Grace always says that Briana is a sweet child who is always happy to participate in any activity. So far they have gone to the library, made seafood lasagna, participated in the Family Promise program (feeding the homeless), visited the Farmers market, carved pumpkins, visited a horse farm where Grace owns a horse, made a Mother’s Day gift for Briana’s mother and they are keeping a journal of their activities together.
