Big Brothers Big Sisters receives 75% of our funding from private donations. Support from individuals like you is vital to provide mentors for children in our communities. And we know children need mentors! In these complex and confusing times, children need a caring adult to be a mentor and a friend — someone they can talk to, have fun with, and learn from. The Revenue received from the Sale of your donated items support the mentoring services we provide in Cumberland & Salem counties.
Your donations are tax deductible. A tax donation receipt is available at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office at the time of your donation. Please consult IRS Publication # 526 for information regarding deductibility of non-cash donations – fair market value.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is America’s premier mentoring organization and has been providing services to children for over 100 years. Please support our organization by sponsoring a clothing bin at your business today!
Our program makes it convenient for the community to recycle their used clothing while at the same time providing an additional source of funding for our programs and services.
Our collection methods include donation bins, community drop off locations and clothing drives. Currently we are looking for businesses, schools, churches, and other organizations to sponsor a donation bin location. You won’t have to worry about a thing. We will collect the materials and maintain the area surrounding the bins on a weekly basis. All we ask is that our bins are placed in a high traffic, highly visible area.
We hope that you consider becoming a bin sponsor. Sponsorship is socially responsible and environmentally friendly. Please remember that becoming a bin sponsor is a commitment to our community’s children.
Your Sponsorship Makes a Difference!
How often do you pick-up and maintain the bins?
Our drivers will pick up and maintain the bins on a weekly basis. If there is a special situation, we can schedule additional pick-ups as needed.
