The Vineland High School Fighting Clan lost its Homecoming Day game to the Atlantic City Vikings, but the day was still rich with tradition and school spirit.
It kicked off with a parade down Landis Avenue and continued with one of the high school’s oldest traditions – the crowning of Miss Monogram.
This year the title went to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties very own Little Sister Niyah, a cross-country and track runner who specializes in throwing the javelin.
Students applied to be in the Miss Monogram contest. Candidates must have a solid attendance record, good grades and at least one Varsity Letter. The applicants are interviewed and the top 5 are selected by the advisors. The senior class voted during school to determine the winner.
