Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties Welcomes Jasmin Appiani as CARES Coordinator

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties (BBBS) is thrilled to welcome Jasmin Appiani to their team, where she will serve as CARES Coordinator. In joining BBBS, Appiani begins a new journey helping provide matches with opportunities made possible by community partnerships.

The CARES (Creating Access to Resources, Events, and Support) Program creates unique opportunities for local youth enrolled in BBBS mentorship. Through the kindness of local community members and businesses, the CARES Program seeks out experiences for Bigs and Littles that extend beyond general mentoring. As the CARES Coordinator, Appiani will work to enhance and create local partnerships that can lead to opportunities such as tickets to concerts and sporting events, yoga classes, fishing trips, and more.

“Jasmin’s experience is certain to help our CARES Program flourish, finding new ways to create memories for our matches that will last them a lifetime,” said BBBS President and CEO Donna Bennett. “We look forward to seeing how she is able to grow the program and be part of the generosity and dedication that makes it possible in the first place.”

Appiani comes to BBBS with nearly twenty years of experience in advertising and marketing. She began her higher education in Peru and later obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Advertising from the University of El Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

“My time in marketing and advertising provided me with skills I believe will help me foster community partnerships for the CARES Program,” Appiani said. “Translating that skillset in a way that benefits local youth is a challenge I am excited to take on as I start this new chapter.”

Appiani joins BBBS of Cumberland & Salem Counties alongside one other new staff member, the Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Program Manager. To learn more about the CARES Program and get involved, contact Appiani at cares@southjerseybigs.org
