Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties (BBBS) is excited to welcome Corrine Davis to the team as Program Manager of the Big Brothers Big Sisters College & Career Readiness Mentoring Program. Davis’ addition to BBBS will allow for a stronger support system for high school students as they prepare to start their college journeys.
As Program Manager, Davis will oversee the Big Brothers Big Sisters College & Career Readiness Mentoring Program, which matches high school juniors at Cumberland County Technical Education Center (CCTEC) with mentors who have a college degree or significant professional experience. Supplied with a program-specific curriculum, the mentor aids their student in college preparation through their freshman year, meeting virtually on a weekly basis and in-person monthly. Davis’ work as Program Manager will support both mentors and students as they work on relationship building, non-cognitive skills, and college knowledge.
“We are so thrilled to see what Corrine does as part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters community,” said BBBS President and CEO Donna Bennett. “Her experience and enthusiasm shine through, and I know she will be a great asset to our students and their mentors.”
Davis graduated from LaSalle University in 2021 with her Bachelor’s in Psychology. While in college, she was a sprinter on the Varsity Track & Field team. After graduating, Davis worked for the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office as a Detective while also balancing an Assistant Manager position at Applebee’s. Ultimately, her passion and appreciation for education and uplifting local youth led her to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
“As I have gotten older, I have developed a stronger appreciation for education and a heart for the humanities,” Davis said. “Managing the Big Brothers Big Sisters College & Career Readiness Mentoring Program will allow me to be in touch with my desires to help and encourage the youth in my community to achieve their academic and career goals, while also being a part of their village of supporters who are guiding them to reach their full potential.”
Outside of work, Davis enjoys cooking, working out, and reading. Before her time as a college athlete, she also competed on the track team at Egg Harbor Township High School, where she ran for two AAU teams, traveling the country and competing at two Junior Olympics. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Zuri, and volunteering with organizations doing advocacy work for substance abuse and mental well-being organizations.
